Kenya is home to the original safari. It’s where African safari was born, and to this day remains the ultimate destination for unparalleled game viewing. Kenya is home to an astounding number of different species—around 25,000. Of course, you’ll find Africa’s ‘Big Five’ throughout the country, but those are just a handful of the unique animals found here.

From the forests along the coastline of the Indian Ocean to the lush grasslands and sprawling savanna, Kenya is full of opportunities for cultural interactions with indigenous tribes, exceptional wildlife experiences, and unique activities. A safari in Kenya offers a tremendous diversity of both landscapes and animals.

This Safari can either start or end Nairobi or Mombasa depending on your interest as well.

RETURN TO NAIROBI / MOMBASA BY TRAIN OR FLIGHT

DAY 1.

From Mombasa drive 110km to reach Tsavo East National Park and proceed through Buchuma gate. There is a game drive enroute to the Lodge whereas when you are lucky you can view Elephants, Buffalos, Zebras, Gazelles and Ostriches and some other games arriving in the Lodge for lunch. After lunch relax at your own leisure as you enjoy siesta waiting for the afternoon game. Dinner and overnight at the same Lodge.

DAY 2.

An early morning game drive visits the Mzima springs, after breakfast drive through the park to Tsavo West arriving for lunch. After lunch relax at your pleasure as you can enjoy an afternoon siesta waiting for the evening game. At the same lodge you will get dinner and overnight on full board meal plan.

DAY 3.

After an early morning breakfast you depart from your lodge with game drive enroute to the gate and leave the park then proceed to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Later then drive to Lake Nakuru famous for its huge flocks of flamingoes, dinner and overnight at the same lodge. You are likely to view some animal’s enroute your lodge.

DAY 4.

Depart after the breakfast then drive Westwards via Narok to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the lodge or camp. After lunch relax for a siesta waiting for the afternoon game drive that starts at around 1600hrs. Dinner and overnight at the same Lodge.

DAY 5.

Full day in Masai Mara with morning and evening game drives. You can also depart in the morning from your lodge after breakfast with picnic lunch that will allow you to have full day game drive with afternoon lunch break in the wilderness to enjoy the Panorama of Fauna and Flora. In the evening drive back to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6.

After breakfast depart your lodge for a drive to Nairobi arriving about lunch time at the Carnivore. After lunch you will be transferred to Airport/train station depending on your choice for Mombasa. This plan is also available for international departures as per the guests’ requests. For the flight it will last only 45minutes to Mombasa. The train takes about five hours to Mombasa. Arrive Mombasa for a transfer to your Hotel. This Safari Schedule can be done as well from Nairobi to end at Mombasa or vice versa.
