Tsavo East national park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species.

A favourite amongst travellers in search of luxury accommodation, Salt Lick Safari Lodge is a luxurious safari escape set in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary overlooking a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plains.

DAY 1
Depart in the morning and drive inland to the eastern side of Tsavo East National Park. Game drive in the Park provides a view of wildlife then you proceed to Taita Hills Lodge for lunch. After lunch the safari proceeds to Taita Saltlick Lodge. The lodge overlooks water holes which is floodlit at night, can be viewed from the comfort of the rooftop terrace. You then have dinner and overnight at salt lick Lodge.
DAY 2
You have an early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast, you have an enroute game drive to Taita Hills Lodge for lunch where you enjoy your buffet lunch, or you depart after breakfast for beach hotels and resorts. After the lunch the journey of transfer starts back to Mombasa.
Saltlick can also be part of a long Safari being placed as a connecting Lodge.
